At Wemyss, we are committed to providing a wide range of beautiful fabric collections whilst also protecting the planet to the best of our ability.

With the textile industry being one of the world’s largest polluters generating an estimated 92 million tonnes of waste every year, we believe it’s our responsibility to be part of the solution, not the problem. That’s why we’re continuously finding new ways to reduce our waste and champion more sustainable practices through thoughtful, innovative design.

Over the past 2 years we have introduced 10 sustainable new collections that meet Global Recycling Standards.

Global Recycling Standards

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an internationally recognised, voluntary certification that ensures products are made using verified recycled materials. Beyond confirming recycled content, the GRS upholds strict criteria for responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices throughout the production process. By tracking materials from their source to the finished product, the global recycling standard guarantees full traceability and integrity within the supply chain.

At its core, the GRS helps transform waste into value, with fabrics being produced from post-consumer plastic waste, such as used PET bottles. On average, around 25 one-litre bottles are repurposed to create just 1 kg of GRS-certified yarn, significantly reducing plastic waste destined for landfills. All collections carrying the GRS label are verified to contain a minimum of 50% recycled content, reinforcing our commitment to circularity and responsible production.

In 2025 we took another important step forward by introducing five new collections made using recycled materials that meet Global Recycling Standards. Proof that sustainability has never looked so good.

The Marilyn Collection – 100% Recycled Polyester

Rich in texture and effortlessly refined, Wemyss’ latest velvet collection is carefully crafted to bring a sense of sophistication, warmth, and elegance to any interior space. This collection evokes the charm of classic luxury while embracing a mindful, sustainable approach to design.

Crafted from 100% recycled polyester, this velvet fabric meets the highest environmental standards, including OEKO-TEX, REACH compliance and GRS (Global Recycling Standards), highlighting Wemyss continued commitment to sustainable design. Whether used for upholstery, accessories, drapery or bedding, Marilyn delivers both beauty and durability, with a 100,000 Martindale abrasion rating, Fibreguard stain resistant technology and machine washable at 30°C.

Available in a curated palette of 30 luxurious shades ranging from deep wine tones and opulent blues to earthy naturals and vibrant ochres, Marilyn offers a colour to suit every interior style.

The Ghent Collection – 96% Recycled Polyester

This exquisite velvet cord fabric embodies elegance and durability, offering a refined aesthetic with a sumptuously soft touch. Crafted with FibreGuard Stain Repellent technology, Ghent is designed for modern living, ensuring exceptional stain resistance without compromising on its luxurious feel. Its performance credentials are further enhanced by an impressive abrasion rating of 100,000 rubs.

Available in a captivating palette of 27 gorgeous colours, Ghent provides endless possibilities for sophisticated upholstery and interior applications. The Dream Collection – 75% Recycled Polyester & 20% Recycled Polypropylene

A sophisticated jacquard collection that beautifully merges refined texture with modern eco-conscious design. Perfect for upholstery, accessories, and bedding, Dream delivers a tactile, cosy finish that enhances interiors with both visual depth and soft comfort. Available in a palette of 25 inviting colours, this collection is designed to elevate interiors with effortless style.

Demonstrating Wemyss continued commitment to responsible design, Dream is crafted from an innovative blend of 75% recycled polyester, 20% recycled polypropylene, and 5% polyester, meeting OEKO-TEX, REACH and GRS Global Recycling Standards. With a robust Martindale rating of 40,000, machine washable at30°C and Fibreguard stain resistant technology, this collection seamlessly blends sustainability with everyday practicality.

The Hygge Collection – All 3 designs featuring recycled Polyester

Indulge in the comfort of HYGGE, a sophisticated, plush boucle collection. Named after the Danish word meaning ‘a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment’. Hygge embodies these qualities in three complimentary plains – Cozy, Fuzzy and Teddy.

Each design features a palette of 10 inviting colours, ranging from soft neutrals to rustic orange and earthy green. All three designs are suitable for both upholstery and accessories, with Cozy & Teddy also ideal for bedding. Together, the Hygge collection offers the perfect fabric to transform your interior space into haven of relaxation and warmth.

Beyond its aesthetics, Hygge stands as testament to Wemyss commitment to sustainability, with all three designs featuring a recycled content that meets OEKO-TEX and Global Recycling Standards, with Teddy comprising of an admirable 100% recycled polyester. Additionally, Hygge features outstanding technical attributes including FibreGuard advanced stain technology, providing protection against the toughest stains & spills without having to resort to specialist cleaning. The Tenby Collection – 51% Recycled Polyester

Wemyss are proud to introduce Tenby, a textured wide-width collection that is inherently FR for contract curtains. Named after the timeless beauty of Wales’s most iconic harbour town. Echoing the character of Tenby’s cobbled streets, colourful facades and sweeping coastal views, this collection captures a sense of laid-back elegance and classic seaside charm.

Tenby is a textured plain fabric with a soft, tactile finish that brings depth and gentle character to interior schemes. The palette of 33 considered shades reflects the changing moods of the coast, from misty greys and sandy neutrals to sun-washed blues and fresh, airy pinks.

Crafted with care for both homes and the environment, Tenby is made from a 51% recycled polyester composition that meets OEKO-TEX, REACH, and GRS (Global Recycling Standard) certifications, offering a more responsible choice for modern interiors.

Combining beauty with practicality, the fabric is also machine washable at 30°, making it ideal for relaxed, everyday living. Tenby brings the spirit of the Welsh coast into contemporary homes.
